Photoshop: How to Create Black-white Lightning Effect



Here are the steps:

1. You need Adobe Photoshop CS5 or later

    Because we use 'Vibrance' that inserted only in CS5, or use black/white if you don't have it.

2. Choose your picture





3. Use it as the background





4. Duplicate the layer





Duplicate the background, right click_duplicate layer.


5. Use 'Vibrance'





Click Image, Adjustment, Vibrance. Make sure that you are working on the second layer (upper).


6. Setting your Vibrance




Make sure that you are working on the second layer (upper).


7. Erase anti-black area (point of view)





Make sure that you are working on the second layer (upper). Use eraser tool to erase the layer (object only).




8. Using Lightning effects



Find Filter_Render_Lightning Effects. Make sure that you are working on the second layer (upper)



Manage your effect, You can change the 'Style' or 'Light Type'. Move the point of preview on the left side, find the best result. If done, click OK.

9. Save your picture

Do you want to change the color of one part of your photo? Here are the steps:
1. You need an Adobe Photoshop program, start from CS3 or later.
2. choose your picture that you want to edit.

3. Duplicate your layer




Right click on your layer, duplicate layer.


4. Edit Hue/saturation




Find Image, Adjustment, and click Hue/Saturation or just Ctrl+U. Ensure that you are editing the second layer. Move the slide, find the best setting and OK.




5. Delete some areas that don't need to be changed using eraser tool




Make sure that you are working on the second layer, use a correct size and hardness (right click) to remove the image.




6. Save your picture

Photoshop: How to Create a Box Photo

How to create a box photo?
(sorry for my poor English)
Here are the steps:
1. You need an Adobe Photoshop program, start from CS3 or later.
2. choose your picture that you want to edit.


Above is an example of one of my photo, you can choose yours. After that, open it on your Photoshop program.
3. Add more pictures (two pictures) to fill the side of the box.
   Open the pictures and put it in others tab.




4. Create an empty area as the background.
you can duplicate (right click, duplicate layer on layer) or add another background. Apply a clear effect by using brush or the other tools
5.Transform your first picture
   use ctrl + T to transform your picture, it is the first side (face) of the box.
Ensure to transform first picture layer only, not the background.
6. Decide the position of your picture
7. Add your second picture and transform it too.
Use ctrl to skew the point of transformation, follow the position below.

8. Add your last picture as the roof of the box.

9. Add some shadow effect to your background (optional)


You can use brush tool and apply it to the background.
10. Your box is ready.
Save your picture, File - Save as - decide your format (jpeg) - OK.
